a bit of a bio

I’ve always oriented myself around words, wording, and what we’ll call wordplay but is just a lifetime of regrettable puns. So, after spending a beautiful four years studying creative writing at Middlebury College, I did what any sensible English degree holder does: moved to New York and got a job in studying human behavior a restaurant.

I soon started freelancing as a social content creator for the branding agency Jugular, (because #millennial) where I stopped at least a few thumbs on behalf of Blue Nectar Tequila and REVO Luggage.

At Deep Focus, I donned my "Discerning Man” pants writing for The Glenlivet, my “Healthy Delighter” mom jeans repositioning Beneful Dog Food and my “Charismatic Hipster” selvage denim launching Olmeca Altos tequila. At McCann, I said farewell to liquor and puppies and hello to the wellness category, where I help produce TVC and social for the Reckitt Benckiser brands Airborne, Move Free, MegaRed and Digestive Advantage.

On the side, I work with the wonderful, creative collective at Sette, and have written whimsy, personal wellness, and luxury for brands such as Craftspring, The Four Seasons CHLI, and SPINN Construction.

Whether working on brand launches, 360 campaigns, website refreshes, brand experiences or digital activations, I prioritize bringing the things I love best about storytelling—the assumption that there can be poetry in even the simplest of sentiments, the psychology and multiplicity of worlds and perspectives, and the empathy thus required. Also, you know, puns.
